2010 outside temp option ?

Hello all, 2 weeks ago, I traded in my 07 f-150 XLT for a 2010 F-150 stx with the power options. I love my new truck. The only thing I miss is my old one showed me the outside temp on my dash. I noticed my new truck has a area on the dash next to the time that says ext. temp. It just isnt light up. My question is, is there anything I can do, like install a sensor or something to get this option to work on my truck ? Thank you very much for your help..
Also, I just wanted to add, that my new truck has the 3 valve 4.6 with 3.73 limited slip.. Much more power than my 07 that has the 5.4 with 3.55 limited slip. The new truck has a lot more get up and go, and so far, is getting better mpg.. Thanks again for your help.

Dale

I thought the outside temp and compass display was standard on only the XLT, FX4 and Lariat (plus KR and Plat packages) and was not available in any way on the other two trims, XL and STX ?

Do you have a compass display?

No, my stx does not have a compass display.. and it doesnt have the outside temp option either.. but I can see on my dash where the light would be.. My question is, is there any way to make this light up ?
Thank you

Probably there is, but you also probably don't have the sensors installed. I have a '09 XL, and I went on eBay and got a replacement rearview mirror, and went from a manual mirror to one that has temp, compass AND Homelink. Install is not that bad if you have any experience running wiring.
