Putting a cap on my truck but I sometimes take it off in the summer for my quad. Will any 6 ft tonneau cover fit a 2010 f150 found some cheap used ones on craigslist. Going to my moms in S.C for xmass and my cap will not be in time

 

It's been my experience that there are slight diff's between them. I did however take a Truxedo one from an 02 Chevy and try it on a 08 150 - The only thing that would have been required was to add about 1.5" filler plate of some kind in the front of the bed (i.e just a tad short).....but that may be quite different from year to year as well. Side to side diff's may make it a bit more challenging. I'd try to stick to the right year/make to avoid headaches, unless you don't mind fabbing a bit.

 

No they won't fit. The 2009 and 2010 tail gate is different.

 

just stick with soft vinyl covers from the 04-10 F150 and they will fit. even my hard folding Bakflip will fit from 04 to 10 trucks. I don't think it's worth trying any non-Ford, non-F150 used covers.

The tailgate is wider starting in 09, so the fiberglass covers and caps from 04-08 that wrap over the bed rails and tailgate lip won't fit.

also, you either have a 6.5' bed or 5.5', there is no 6.0' bed.

 

well I found a used 6.5 ft tonneau cover off a 2006 f150 cheap. since I am ordering a leer cap this week and not keeping the tonneau cover on all the e time I dont want to spend alot. Going to my moms in myrtle beach sat and my cap wont be made for 2-4 weeks.I still want something to hide my stuff under the bed. hope this thing will fit.
