I think it is about 98. The F150 Lightning limiter was set at 255

Most are set at around 95. You can change it with a tuner.

The official speed limiter setting on the 09 was 97mph. Got this from Ford a tech via a mechanic at the dealer I go to. needed it and some other info due to a ticket.
I assume the 10 model is about the same. Yes you can turn it off with a programmer, but it is there mainly due to tires. Reason being P series are speed rated, but with the higher CG of a truck and the derating of the tires load carrying ability, along with the fact that LT tires are not speed rated.

PS - Limiter was set at 97, real speed was 94.8.

It was showing 110 because your speedo was uncorrected. The real limiter was set at about 100.

As for the ticket, because the cop stated he had me on radar and followed me at 99mph, and I could prove the vehicle could not go that fast, I was found not guilty. The cop is probably lucky if he was not brought up on perjury charges.
Besides the doc from the tech, I had a company certify the max speed of the truck and it was notarized.

no it was showing about 115, but you are correct in that my speedo was off but it was only off about 7 or so with the 35's. i have even gone 105 according to the gps with my 38's and the stock speed limiter.

I know from the same set of messages to the tech, he stated that the 04-08 were supposed to be set at 99-100.

As far as the ticket, I wasn't going that fast, not even close. As far as going to the limiter speed, just like anything else, it is good to know vehicle limitations etc. Do I normally go near that speed, no, hardly ever.
