Did this twice so far and finally figured it out.... I would try to remote start and it would give me the double chirp and not crank like I had a door ajar, but everything was closed. Reopened and reclosed all the doors and it did it again....

Come to find out I left the dome light in the truck on... So if you ever get agravated that some wire may have a short in the door or other issue check to make sure you didn't leave the interior lights on.

 

you sure it was only 2 chirps and not 3 when it wouldn't start?

Typically, the troubleshooting chirps are:
2 Chirps - BRAKE is being pressed, or the HOOD is open
3 Chirps - a DOOR is open

I would think the dome light being on would be equivalent to having a door open???

 

Had the same thing happen. Mine chirped 3 times.
