Maybe I'm missing something but given both the EB 3.5 and 6.2 V8 will kick its azz, not sure why so many are looking fwd to new 5.0L?

Since when do we look fwd to the 3rd most potent engine in the lineup?

I will never own another vehicle without heated seats...my last truck had them and literally every winter night when I hop in my truck after work I think "Man, I miss those heated seats!" Of course, this is after I've just spent 10 minutes scraping ice/snow off the windows because I don't have remote start either. MI winters are brutal :o

In short, my next truck will have both...and a heated steering wheel would make life even better

That's just because you've got a nice, evenly distributed layer of blubber to keep you warm!

Even in NC I wouldn't mind having heated seats for the winter and cooled seats for the summer. I might actually get a set of heaters when I order my Wet Okole seat covers.

Come on Stealth, you can't tell me that in July, when it's 105 out, the sun's been beating down on your truck all day, and when it's time to go home, you wouldn't want to be able to remotely start your truck and cool it down to something less than the broil setting.

Another reason I would not use remote start is I park more than 1/4 mile from where I work in the plant, when I do drive to work. Usually I van-pool to work. Having remote start would be pointless for me.

You guys need it, that's cool. I don't need it, that's cool.

Remote start is never pointless. I can start my car from over qtr of a mile away and by the time i get to it my windows are clear and my interior is nice and warm. It's also warmed up ready to tow my trailer that i would rather not do with a cold engine.

The iPhone has a Viper remote start app where you can start it from anywhere that has cell reception.

I could be in CA and start my truck NC if I wanted... That is, once I cough up some coin to get one installed!

Theres a difference between remote starting a truck with a dusting on it, and a truck with 6" of wet snow piled up from the last few hours. Jus throwin that out there.

Maybe because a lot of people don't care about having the biggest, most powerful engine in their truck. These are the same people that would take the 3v or 2v 4.6 over the 3v 5.4.

Or a truck with 1/4"+ of solid ice on it, like we get here, which is worse than 6" of snow. You have to scrape that, when you don't have 30 minutes to wait. I guess our can-do attitude here trumps waiting for the truck to de-ice itself.

The snow here is on top of the ice on top of 0 degree weather on top of a -20% windchill factor. Average temps in December in Burleson, TX is 46 degrees with highs of 57. I believe you have it a bit easier. It is not your can do attitude but more like you trying to front some badass attitude and you not liking someone with an option you don't "don't need." You're in TX. You don't need it. Good for you. Buy what you need.

Also Power Kid, people are looking forward to the 5.0 because it is reported to have approximately 400 hp/400 torque, the same alleged numbers as the other engines. I know it is just speculation but if they all get around 400 who is kicking who's azz? Plus the 5.0 is being tested in every trim level. The 6.2 and Ecoboost may not be in every trim level. I also am looking forward to the 6.2 and Ecoboost but I am looking forward to the 5.0 too. I don't know which one I would buy until we find out more information on all of them which I am looking forward to.

I agree. It would be so nice to have a good engine lineup to choose from for once.
