New Platinum Owner!

Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in and say hello. I recently purchased a 2010 platinum in sterling grey. I came from an '06 GMC Sierra Denali and I am loving every bit of this Ford. Ford really hit the nail on this truck! I have been doing a lot of poking around on this site even before I purchased the truck and found that you guys are full of a lot of good information. I will post some pics once I get some taken!

You broke the golden rule of any forum...When you buy something new, you must post pictures or it didn't happen. Welcome.

Here you go guys...removed the 4x4 decals on the bed as well as the Flex fuel badge. Also added the Husky mudflaps. Don't know if I want to keep the box side steps yet, but if someone is interested let me know and I may part with them!

Beautiful truck -

And I must say, the setting of your photos, along with the color of the truck and the color of the background, produce some stunning photos!!

Was it hard to remove the Flex Fuel badge? I thought of doing it but chickened out.

Beautiful pictures and great looking truck.
About those side steps, they're really handy if you use the truck bed much. I really like mine, but I'm less than 6 feet tall so I need the extra lift.
You might want to wait a few months to see if you actually use them before you get rid of them.

I love the idea and function of them, but not too excited about them catching mud and I don't like how they kind of break the smooth body line towards the rear of the truck. I am 6'3" and have ape arms so i can reach into the bed pretty easy. If they had made them as sleek and skinny as the power running boards, they would definitely stay on!

That's the downside to them. They do trap the mud and get all gunked up.
