Just ordered a BakFlip G2 for my FX4

I was trying to decide between the BakFlip G2 and Undercover SE and finally decided to go with the revised G2. It sounds like it should provide the functionality and rain resistance I'm looking for.

I ordered it from SteveVFX4's "guy". Thanks again for the lead. Morrie seems to be a real stand-up guy.

I'm not sure yet when to expect it to arrive here, not sure if it'd be here by this weekend but I doubt it. I'll post some pictures after I get it installed.

I decided to wait until spring to get the BedRug. In the meantime I'm just going to use an outdoor carpet remnant in the bed to get me through the winter.

I used SteveVFX4's guy Morrie as well, best deal I could find and at the time I also got free shipping. It showed up in exactly the time frame we had discussed. I was very pleased with Morrie's service and the BakFlip HD is AWSOME.

I buy mine from Backflip directly, it was cheaper than Morrie. Also, what I ear is that Morrie do not always send the lastest version of the top.

After additional consultation with some experts and friends that know a lot more about trucks than me, I ended up changing my mind last night and canceling the BakFlip order. I am going with the Undercover SE after all. I think the Undercover will be a better fit for how I'm using the truck. This is nothing against the BakFlip, it's just the main feature of the BakFlip (being able to use the bed without having to remove the cover) is not that important to me. I may not be a typical truck user in that regard.

Morrie was first rate at every step of the way. I just feel bad that I could not complete the deal with him.

I should have the Undercover here and installed by Monday.

hey no problem man. I know the Undercover is nice too. Depends on what you need or how you will use it. I tried several covers over the years and I now like the Bakflip the best. Came in real handy a few weeks ago when I picked up my new dishwasher from Sears. The worker guy was impressed on how the cover flipped back so we could fit the big box in my bed (which would not happen with a 1-piece solid cover).
