That E-locker is GREAT!
e lock
That is a pain in the ***, I travel lots of times that LS keeps me moving, I thought my new FX4(which is due next week) would also work in 2 wheel drive or at least have LS. So I have just a straight single rear end in two wheel drive is that correct? E-Lock is not a big deal to me as I don't pound my truck through the mud, but I do travel in snow and without LS you can't even move with a regular rear end.

The traction control works wonders. Despite being an open diff I can spin both rear tires in snow or on wet pavement, something none of my other one-leggers could do. Others have reported spinning all four wheels. The only time I lock the rear is when the traction difference is so great that the tc can't balance the torque out with the brakes, like climbing a rocky slope.
Let me understand this The traction control is similar to LS then, is that right? So if I am going up my driveway in 2 wheel drive and it is icy, as soon as one rear wheel spins the other wheel cuts in is that correct?
Actually I think it works by applying the brakes to the spinning wheel and sending power to the one not spinning.

e-lock
That is making me feel better, now is your dealer sure or just assuming? Sometimes dealers (not saying your) tell you what they think is the case and is not always the case. That is pretty obvious here on this discussion a lot of assumptions are being made.
FX4's with e-lockers definitely do NOT have limited slip. I would also like to know if traction control is enabled how you can spin tires at all continuously. If you are spinning it limits throttle control until you are no longer spinning. ABS brakes are also applied to the spinning wheel(s). There is no transfer of power.
I would assume with traction control off you could spin one wheel but not both.

Went and built by truck on line again, and here is what it say in the options for the FX4 LUX package Limited slip W/373 E-lock axle ratio
Says Limited slip but is that what they are calling the E-lock. Tried to paste the specs but I can't seem to paste anything here, any help.
