New Tires

I want to replace my stock Goodyear Wrangler SRA tires with a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers. Its a 2010 4x4 with the XLT chrome package. The tires are 275/65/18 but the tread looks like it belongs on a car not a truck. Anyway I'm either gonna replace the stock rubber with the same size as factory or step up to a 285/65/18. Has anyone replaced only the tires without a leveling kit? So many pics of leveling kits was just curious to see what it would look like at stock height. Thanks in advance for any pics or input.

I put these tires on my '09. No rubbing issues what so ever.

Shouldn't be any issue at all..you are only going from a 32.1" tire to a 32.6" tire. Totally agree with you about the tread design of the SR-A's, I've already gotten stuck in mud with them that my BF Goodrichs on my last truck with 70,000kms would have gotten me out easily. The Trail Grapplers are really sweet looking and I am waiting for feedback on those before I make my decision what I am going to go with. I am looking at Terra Grapplers, All Terrain KO's, ProComp All Terrains, Grabber AT'2 or Trail Grapplers, any opinions are welcomed.

I am also looking to dump my SR-A tires. Have alway used BFG KOs in the past but I am thinking about the goodyear silent armour, 275/70/18s. The 09 150 ride is soo smooth and quite I don't want to give that nice ride on the freeways. The tiretrack site has a good compare chart.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...ireSearch=true

The SRAs are cr@p and look terrible. I upgraded to Toyos and LOVE them and will soon buy another set. They Look GREAT (square shouldered) last longer than others, Ride nice, and are quiet. Open Country A/T.
I have @ 70,000 miles on mine and thats a lot of gravel roads too.

The Bridgestone Dueler A/T is also an excellent tire, its just the Toyo will outlast it.

I have the Silent Armours on my 06. Awesome tire. They clean really good in snow and grip on ice. I park down a back lane with hills on both sides. Town plows it once a year usually and at this time of the year it is ice when I head to work and ice after work (work 7-7). Its uphill almost to my driveway and the only time i spin is if I make it spin. In the snow they throw it good. The only thing I didnt like was the fact they threw snow over the hood and onto the windshield when i hit some slushy snow. Awesome tire

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I dont want to loose that smooth quiet ride either. I know the 285/65/18 is only 1/2'' and will fit with no issues but i'm just afraid it would look goofy without the leveling kit. I guess i'll just stick with the stock size. Do you guys have any pics of your trucks with the new tires?

If anything else I would think it would look better with the extra .5", fill out that wheel well a little better, I think my SR-A's look a little small in there...like a car tire

savage02, I have pictures of the nitto terra grapplers on my truck in my gallery. They look much better then the goodyear tires I took off. I believe they are 285x65x18.
