Tow/haul button?

When are you supposed to use the tow/haul mode for the transmission? I tow on flat ground. Boat around 2000lbs, camper around 5500lbs.

When you tow or haul something relatively heavy. I use it for 900+lbs when I haul. Haven't towed anything yet.
