rear seats not locking in the down position?

Hello, I just purchased a 09 F-150 Supercrew and the rear seats will lock when folded up but when down you don't have to pull the lever to move them up, I read it's supposed to lock in that position too? Thanks.

I had found the same problem on my new 2010 supercrew, why do they not lock down? Looks like for safety sake they would lock in place.

Convenience, who wants to look for that lever every time you go to put the seat up?

If someone is sitting in the seat in wreck, the seat isn't going to fly up and crush the occupant into a V shape.

I could've swore that I had to find the handle to pull them up the first time, I'll mess with it tonight and let you know if I can find a way to lock them down...

Ditto - MUCH easier to operate than my '05's!! Even if your hands are full - you can "elbow/knee" them into the up position
