2010 VSS Wire Location

Hello All,

I'm looking for the VSS wire location on the 2010 F-150. Can it still be accessed behind the cluster like the 08? I know that on my 08, I found the black/grey wire behind the cluster for my pioneer install.

Thanks.

What exactly do you mean by "VSS" - in my world (CMOS Electronics) Vss=Ground.

I bought the fancy wiring adapter for the radio with nav outputs for my wife's 09 Explorer. I think it was Metra XVSI-5520-NAV. It has outs for parking brake, backup and speed signal.

These newer CAN bus vehicles take a little more than just splicing wires for some features. I got another module AWSI-JACK for steering wheel controls and another AFSI-02 for SYNC retention. it gets expensive...

Just got all my stuff today. Looks like I only needed the JACK for steering wheel controls and the AFSI-02 for base stereo with sync adapter. It has the NAV outputs on it.

i found the VSS wire and cut it but the nav still shuts down when above a certain speed. it must use the gps speed sensors to shut the nav down.

If that is what you are trying to do you have to buy a lock pick for it. Google Ford nav loc pic or such and you will find it.
This isn't the hillbilly wire cutting age, you have to use electronics.
