Looking For Stock Wheel Specs
Offset is the difference between the centerline of the wheel and the mounting surface of the wheel. Backspacing is the difference between the inside lip of the wheel and the mounting surface. So, if you know the width and the backspace, you can calculate the offset. Like wandell mentioned, the width of the stock 17s and 18s is 7.5 inches with 5.5 inches of backspacing. That means the offset is 1.75 inches [5.5 - (7.5/2)], or 44.45 mm. Because the mounting surface is toward the outside of the wheel, it is a positive offset. So, +44 (like BrainDonor mentioned).
anybody know how much the stock rims weigh? Especially the 20" "chrome clad" rims. I'm trying to figure out if aftermarket ones would be lighter thus being worth the expense other than for looks.
