09 FX4 3 months old in need of front end alignment

Took my truck in day before yesterday to have my alignment checked,(pulls to the right and tires feathering.
Was told they have to order a caster/camber adjustment kit in order to do the alignment. Anyone else have any issue with this....needing an alignment?

It's not uncommon for 4x4's to need an alignment this early. Both my 98 Explorer and my 01 F150 needed it done.
I was kind of expecting it with my new truck too. It should be covered under warranty.

Didn't need the kit, but did need an alignment. Could tell by the way the vehicles wandered too much, even in light winds. Since getting it, far better in wind.

I have 5700 miles on it. When I bought it it pulled to the right but always figured with the wind we have this time of year and our horrible roads I kind of figured that was part of it, then one day while driving down a newly paved road (imagine that) and a calm day I noticed it was pulling so the next day I took it in.
3 days later and no call yet that the parts in in yet. Go figure

Ironic maybe but just last night I was driving down a smooth street in my 09' FX4 w/ 6300 miles on it and it also pulls to the right. Nothing severe but enough for me to rule out wind or anything else. I will be contacting my service center tomorrow.

Well I got a call from the dealership last night saying that my parts are in so this morning I call to set an appointment up to have it done and now they cant do it until next Tuesday
I also have them looking into my passenger seat belt latch mechanism for making a rattle noise. (Now that really drives me crazy) I put my finger on it and the noise goes away, but as soon as I take its off its back.

Any new vehicle will need an alignment after a few months as the springs settle. This is maintenance, not a warranty claim.

No, an alignment is definitely NOT a warranty item.

But, check out the Guide as it does say, " Where a vehicle has no factory-related defect, and is therefore not entitled to a warranty related repair, replacement or adjustment, it is Ford policy nonetheless to provide certain maintenance items, when necessary, free of charge, during a limited period."

It then goes on to mention wiper blades, wheel alignments and tire balancing and brake pad/lining replacements. All usually in first 12 months they say.

Good luck.

The dealer may come back and say its within tollarence. The tollarence spec is a wide range in toe and camber. Your much better off going to a high end shop that deals with high end performace vehicles or if your near NJ go to ok4wd in stewartsville nj. The tighter it is, the better it will feel and corner.

On my 2010 F150, the steering wheel was a little off center right from the factory.
I Had them center it which meant a front wheel alignment. Ok now.
Getting 19 mpg average right now with 400 miles on it.

Ok, I dropped my truck off at the dealership yesterday before work and had my wife pick it up.
Today I took it for a ride and it is spot on.....And YES it was taken care of under the warranty.

I noticed my right side seatbelt rattles. After some investigating, I found that depending on the orientation of the belt latch, it will rattle against the side panel. Its annoying because when passengers hop out they never worry about it, and its a looong way to reach over when on the interstate and the rattle starts annoying the heck out of me!
