4.6 3v with 6-speed tranny

I just got a 2010 xlt screw with the 4.6 3v and the 6-speed tranny. I am very impressed with the performance of this combination. Anyone else have this setup?

I've got the 09 XLT 4.6 3V and also love it. This setup fits me perfect. I don't pull a trailer all the time but when the need is there I am able.

I bought an XLT 4x4 Scab with the 4.6L 3V, 6 spd in Feb. It's a huge improvement over my previous f150 that had the 4.6L with the 4spd. The 09 is smoother and more responsive. I wasn’t going go with another 4.6 but I'm glad I did.

I was thinking the same way. I wasn't going to get another 4.6, but when I saw the numbers on the 4.6 3v with the 6 speed tranny, I decided it wasn't that big a difference. I don't do any towing. The 4.6 3v accelerates WAAAYYY faster than my old 4.6 2v 4-speed...I will say this however, I don't believe there is a more reliable engine on the road than the 4.6 2v.

Hey Joe, I have an 09 with this combo and 3:73s. No complaints. Push the pedal on the right to the floor, hold it there for about 9 seconds and watch out for flashing blue lights. You will be impressed. Bottom line, plenty of power.

I have the 4.6L 3V with the 3:73, 4X4 Crew Cab. I just got back from a 650 mile round trip and only got 16.8 mpg's cruising 70 - 75 mph. I was hoping for more mpg's.
