O yes lol, It wouldnt be so bad if it didnt reset after you went past 35mph. Cuz as soon as you pass 35mph then go below 35mph you gotta hold the button down again everytime...

Do keep in mind that it's not the traction control per se that's resetting beyond 35 mph, only the other stability systems.

Let me understand this correctly. If I press and hold the traction control buttom for more than 5 seconds at a speed below 56km/h, it disengages all systems, but I can drive with all off, however, as soon as I go below 56km/h the next time round, the system reingages? That sucks big time.

What about just removing the fuse?

there will be nothing that will or could ever disable the TCS it would be completely ilegal.

the TCS comes back on at 56km/h because you want the TCS to work at higher speeds. it is a safety systems why would you want it disabled?

Cause if you need to spin the tires to get thru snow or w e the traction control will slow your forward progress an almost help you get stuck quicker in some situations...

umm no you don't, if you are in 4x4 you should be able to move through snow with out spinning your tires, once you have tire spin you have NO traction, hence the traction control system.

people you gun it and spin their tires in snow and ice don't know how to drive in winter weather.

Once again, you are confusing TCS and ESC/RSC. Reread this thread. To allow wheel slip, just a short press and release of RSC disable button will do it. The owners manual suggests this can be disabled at any speed and has no speed-based criteria to re-enable. The only thing relating to 35mph is ESC/RSC which only affects oversteer/understeer. Does the behavior match the owners manual?

The tires that come on Mustangs are not the same as the ones on truck.

Yes i know the tires are way diff, im just saying that when i just hit the button once it will only allow the tires to spin 1 second longer then without hitting the button. Even in a straight line.

That is torque managment / Drive by wire. A tune will take care of that. Keep in mind that was a LSD you can still end up with only one wheel peel.

I can smoke the heck of the the 07 expeditions tires we have with one press of the button on TC.

The first winter after a delivery of 12 Mercedes/Frightliner Srinter vans where I worked they were getting stuck on level surface with just an inch of ice covered roads because of TCS. AS soon as it sensed wheel spin the engine would go to idle. It caused allot of problems and tows. After a while, the engineers came up with a kit, similar to a TSB. Pulled the dash out, removed the switch, popped in a cover to fill the hole, cut a couple wires, soldered in a relay If I recall and that ended that problem. They were 4x2 so didn't have the option of 4x4. But talk about a Snafu. Then soon started seeing rear tire wear or failure but they weren't getting stuck as often.
