I would like to purchase this 2010 platinum.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...fCarsQ5fTrucks
The dealer gave me a price of $40K + tax etc, but am hoping to pay less.
What do you guys think I could get it for ?

My 01 Lightning has served me well and still runs fine with 98K miles, but am looking for more space, features and comfort.

Thanks !

I'm not sure what the rebates are these days - I think I saw $4500 back during "truck month." I wouldn't pay any more than $40k OTD including tax, etc.

The sticker price is $46,355. According to the build date 08/27/09, it probably has been sitting on the lot for close to a month. You gotta figure there is $3000 in rebates right now, so they aren't discounting it too much. Couple grand lower and that would be fair.

Many on this site have done better but it all depends on how flexible you are and how soon you want to purchase. I searched around for about 4 months until I found my truck. I got a fully loaded Screw FX4 which stickered for 47k but got it for 38k plus TT&L.

Try and get 20% off of sticker (a good place to start). Some get less, but not many get more than 22%-25% off sticker. My '09 FX-4 (scab) listed for 39k, and I walked out the door for 30k plus ttl.

On a side note: Anyone else notice the tires are the STR and not the normal ATR Tires?? First I have seen of this.

There must have been a price jump between the model years.

Check out carsdirect.com for prices others in your area are paying.
Also check out edmunds.com for tmv pricing.

Good call, I over looked the fact that it was 4x2.
