Paint protection

If you have an painted front end and would like to protect the paint from rock chips. I would go with the expel protection film. I just had mine installed and it's awsome! You can't even see it all.

3M has a similar type, probably more expensive though.

I think I am going to go with the 3M product as soon as I get my current rock chips fixed. I wish I had it done when I first got the truck. 9000 miles on the truck and I already have half a dozen rock chips.

I got 3M covering the entire front end on my platinum the first week I bought it. They put a layer over my fog lights, the entire lower bumper, the entire front end and going up the hood about 2.5 feet as well as the leading parts of the fenders. All in all, I believe I paid $700, but I know the guy didn't make really much money on it at all so some other places may charge quite a bit more to make profit.

Nu Solis kit here

I ordered up a Nu Solis kit off of eBay for $45 to cover the front of my truck after the lift and installed it myself.

I had my doubts, but thought for the money it was worth trying. The seller even had a series of YouTube videos showing how to install it. After watching them, I thought I could do it myself.

The kit took most of an afternoon and was a bit of a pain to install, but it is invisible and has protected the truck like I wanted it to. If you end up doing it yourself be aware that you actually need to stretch the film slightly as you install it for it to fit correctly.

I even used some of the kit to cover my flares when I installed them. The only place it is visible is where the film ends as wax tends to build up there.

I had my front bumper and fogs done for $300 The guy that did mine used 3m in the past and had lots of trouble with it. He did my F-250 3 yeats ago and it did look as good because the 3m film show strech marks. The xpel film is perfect. The bugs come right off too. I think it's well worth the money.
