Tps

Is there a way for the dealer to turn the TPS off so I do not get a warning light on the dash? I want to upgrade the 17in rims to 18 or 20in rims, but nearly all the factory takeoffs are missing the TPS. I see no reason to go through the expense of having the tires dismounted, installing the TPS, remounting and balancing the tires. Somehow Ive made it 35 years on the road without TPS, I figure that I can make it through one more set of tires without it.

Next tire change I would have it reinstalled just because its there.

No dealer is going to turn these off for you, just like no dealer is going to disable your airbags for you. You are on your own.

nope, if the system doesn't see the signal it turns the light on.
