SCT SF3 on 2010 F150?

Has anyone tuned there truck 2010 yet with this? I have mine from my 2007 F150 and told an update is all it would need. I am updating mine now (going on 2 hours and only 1/4 of the way done).

Just looking for results and experiences with the newer trucks.

I'm thinking of getting that tuner this week. Would be interested to hear if you get it updated and one of the pre-loaded tunes running and any feedback you got.

Well, I let it update over night and it still isn't done. I had no idea it would take this long. It was over 3/4 of the way done when I left this morning for work. I will check it around 11 when I stop back home, maybe earlier if I am out and about. I will check the A/F with a stand alone wideband (after the cats of course, I am not putting a bung in my new truck quite yet).

Wife just called, finally finished updating the software. Will re-download the tune revision and give it a try at lunch today.

Did all the updates, no go. Contacted SCT, gave them all the codes and other jazz to hopefully get them to support it soon.

Just heard back from SCT, supposed to call them today after 1pm (CST) and get the update I need to make this work on my truck. Also got confirmation that I can use E85 with the 91 octane tune which makes me very happy. The decreased cost and gas mileage is a wash on 87 octane, but to be able to run E85 which is much less expensive than 91 octane (93 octane here) and get the performance gains I am very excited. Plus with E85 and its much much higher octane rating than even 93, it is a safer fuel to run. Just not sure how these trucks act in the winter running E85. I have some experience turning other cars that were not originally meant to run E85 and they don't like temps below 50deg F. So we will see.

Tune is in! Only have ran 87 octane so far but you can tell a difference. The throttle response is much better and the shifts are nice for the most part, maybe a little firm under little to no load while just putting around. I had just filled up with 87 octane so I was unable to run the higher octane tunes. When this tank is empty I will fill up with E85 and put it on 93 octane (there is a 91 and 93 octane option) and crank the timing up as much as it will let me. Will report back.

Did you notice any pinging. There are a few people that have installed their tunes and noticed alot of detonation. I think they were running the Hypertech programmer though. I noticed you can change the timing, are you also allowed to go in and change the torque management shift points.

I didn't notice anything, but with the knock sensors, they will catch knock way before I am able to here it. I will try and datalog sometime next week and see if I am able to log any parameters that tell me when the motor is pickinp up knock. The truck ran strong, so I don't think there was any major detonation, normally, a motor will fall on its face if this is the case. Once I get E85 in, detonation shouldn't be an issue.
