Tinted Side Mirrors ?

Anyone have their side mirrors tinted? I have tinted my windows 20% but still find the glare in my side mirrors from headlights distracting when driving on the highway at night. Would a regular window tint film be durable enough to use on the exterior mirrors? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any info

Does your truck have an auto tinting drivers side mirror? Mine does and it solves that problem perfectly. It is only on the drivers side but I must say I dont have a problem with the passengers side. If you dont have one try getting one off eBay or Tascaparts.com. I guess a light tint on the mirror might do the trick but cant say if it will be too dark or even hold up to the weather.

Good luck!

I don't think I have an auto tinting driver side mirror, I have an XLT model that does not come with too many extra's. I do have the auto tint rear view mirror and it sucks. I am going to be tinting my rear window down to 5% to eliminate the glare. Thanks for the suggestion JMEO

I had 5% tint on my last vehicle and it rendered the rear window essentially useless at night. Might as well just replace the glass with a piece of black plexi. :P

Perfect ! I had my rearview tilted up facing the ceiling so it was useless anyhow! Hoping it doesn't cost me anymore than $50 to get it done.

Are your mirrors heated? Would the tint be fine with that heat? Also, my buddy had his back window tinted at 5% and he could not see his lawn trailer.
