i greatly appreciate it!

fyi to all, does anyone use Sound Ordinance speakers? crutchfield recommended i use them in relation to the factory head unit, which i do not want to change.
Never heard these but Crutchfield recommended I get Boston Acoustics S85
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_065S85/...S85.html?tp=92

they have a higher sensitivity rating than the Sound Ordnance.... 92db vs. 88db should be better with stock head unit.

PM me your email address again - your email was returned as undeliverable - the error message stated your domain refused the email (came from my gmail.com account).

I received your email and sent the instructions to the email address you provided.

PM means "private message". You can find that when yuo click on a member name, but you need to have 10+ posts to send a PM.

thanks for the "pm" fyi, good to know.

the new speakers will go in this weekend and ill post how they sound.

im using sound ordinance, which was recommended by crutchfield for the power given by the factory radio. i will update after a test run.

also, has anyone put in a subwoofer into a supercab, or know anyone that has? just curious to see what size is needed.

thanks!!

update:

after using the Sound Ordnance speakers in my front doors for a week, i went out and bought two more for the back doors and have installed those two.

i highly recommend these speakers with the stock radio.

great sound separation and clarity. excellent recommendation from crutchfield.

thanks to all of those that helped me with the installation process!

If you can (or have) spring for an amp, that is the ideal way to go when changing the factory speakers out. But on the same token, aftermarket speakers will still sound better than the factory stuff without an amp. It depends on what you want the end result to be.
