Who is Blue II? 365? I can live with that! But I hope its a little bit more because I have been hearing 400 hp 400 torque for the longest time.

 

You will have the 400/400 but with the 6.2L

they use all kinds of add on sensors to watch temps, air flow, noises you name it. Looks like all those yellow wires just strung in the engine bay. Also i doubt the production intake tube will look like that, its probably just a test fit one so they can get the truck on the road, and then they will make it all pretty later

yes the mustang is usually higher on the hp then the truck.. truck usually tuned for towing in the torque range.

 

Anyone wonder if there will be a 5.4 coyote variant? Those seem like awfully high numbers from 5 liters.

 

Why, because everyone is use to low number and big engine?

''Small'' V6 are pushing almost the same power figure that ''big'' V8 are making.

Just take a look at Nissan with there 3.7L making 330hp and close to 280ft-pd of torque.


Our Honda with there small 2.2L pushing 240hp our 2L pushing over 200hp our 1.6L pushing over 160hp. Yes i know they don't even have enough torque to talk about, but still.

Even Ford did over 400hp with the Ecoboost in the MKS prototype. And that's with a 3.5L V6. Ok it's twin turbo but still.


100hp and torque/liter ain't to much to ask for...

It'll be interesting to see if they use the same intake for the Mustang and the trucks. If the Mustang is really 400hp then 365 would sound about right for a different manifold designed with torque in mind.

 

The Coyote 5.0 F-150 truck will be one wicked rig...

I know Ford has sold Range Rover, but the new Range Rover Sport has a 5.0L N/A V8. I wonder if this was supplied by Ford? It's paired to a 6-speed auto and has dual independence variable cam timing. It's rated at 375/375.
