Largest tire size w/ leveling kit?

I know its probly been asked before, but I searched and didn't really find a definitive answer. I know on the obs trucks you could run 35s w/ just a leveling kit. Is that still the case on the 09+ trucks? The configuration would be XLT 4wd. Anywhere from a 2-3" leveling kit, what are your max tire size choices?

I dont even have the truck yet, just doing some research. I would be looking to run the 35s on the stock wheels, so keep that in mind as far as backspacing goes.

I appreciate the help/info.

So basicly, nobody has ever given a very specific answer? Or done it on the stock 17" wheels.

In my searching, Ive seen a couple running 285/65R20s on the stock 20s, one guy running 285/75R18s on some aftermarket wheels, but the only 35s Ive seen on stock 17-18" wheels of any kind are on 04-08s. If theyll still fit, thats great, but itd be nice to know one way or the other.

The trucks havn't been out that long, but fitment appears to be about the same as the 04-08's. As a general rule with a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit on a 4x4, you can run up to a 35x12.50 using the OEM wheels or 33's using wider aftermarket wheels.

Yeah, there seems to be alot of conflicting info on it. Or at least the info is murky. Some say x is the widest you can run w/o rubbing, others say y is etc.

35x12.50s will fit. These trucks are basically identical to the 04-08s.

Great, thanks for the info fellas. As Ive posted elsewhere, my plans will probly be 35x12.5 KM2s on some 17x8 Gunner 6s. Gotta get the truck first......Gotta sell my current truck before that........all in due time.

Keep in mind, to fit 35x12.50's with an aftermarket wheel they are gonna have to be almost identical to the OEM wheels width and BS (7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of BS).

well, the Gunner 6s are 17x8 w/ 5.5" bs. So they are .5" farther out, so I doubt therell be any issues. Ive seen pics of a couple guys running the exact setup Im hoping to in the 04-08 trucks.

Yeah, you should be fine then. THe 09's may even have a little larger fenderwells than the 04-08's.
