Hey guys, since we're kinda talking about "The Aggies" now, just want to put in a plug for my son-in-law's magazine...Aggieland Illustrated. It's just like Sports Illustrated...except ALL Aggie. Just thought y'all might be interested. Check it out here: http://www.aggielandillustrated.com/

Thumbs up WS 2-tone

Sweet ride! I love my White Sand Platinum, and I love yours with the two-tone, very nice! It's the first WS 2-tone I've seen. I really like the two-tone, wish it had been an option on my '09. But I was never a fan of the leather color of the KR, and the Plat wheels are far beyond the other models. I virtually never see any other '09's/'10's on the road. The extremely rare times I do, they are almost always the lower models, like XLT or FX4. On occasion I see a Lariat, though maybe sometimes they might be KR's since the grille is the same can't tell from the front driving by on other side of road. I've never seen a Plat on the road, 'cept mine of course. Anyways, sweet looking truck, I think the color combo looks great!

CometFlash, that's where I was stuck for the longest time trying to decide.

I really liked the two-tone of the King Ranches over the one-tone Platinum with the other chrome pieces. But, I preferred the Platinum interior to the King Ranch. If the king Ranch would have still had the original Castano leather there would have been no question I was going to get the King Ranch.

I walked into the dealership to buy the Platinum. Test drove it, and went in to make the deal. before I did, I decided I better check out the King Ranches to be sure. He took me to this King Ranch, and I was sold on the White Sand 2-tone. It's beautiful. I'm glad I went with the King Ranch. I'm starting to really love the leather. I thought it was a little too red at first, but think it's a beautiful look now.

Nice looking KR - enjoy your new truck I have the Platinum (and really like it). I did look at the KR but since the Plat was so close in price I went that route. One thing I'd do if I would have purchased the KR is to retrofit the Plat's hidden running boards - I just couldn't get past the fixed running boards on the KR. Other than that - beautiful truck enjoy

Curious about your ride comment...does the KR have smaller wheels (hence higher tire sidewalls) than the Plat? Otherwise they should ride the same or the Plat should be even a bit quieter (if one can believe Ford's marketing that is)?

I'm not sure who posted that. I test drove the Plat, and can't really tell there are any differences in the 2. The KR and Plat both ride well, as far as I could tell. I know supposedly the Plat has more sound deadening in it, but the KR seems just as quiet. These new 09-10's are great rides. Way improved over my '03 F-150.

Agreed - both the KR and Plat ride quiet and smooth. I remember when I first drove my new '05 Lariat Screw...it was sooooo quiet compared to the preveious gen trucks and the new 09's + are even quieter.

Enjoy that new KR - awesome truck and if I did get the two tone that would be my color choice as well!

aggie - did you already change out the side steps? I thought the KR came with the fixed, color coordinated, running boards (like the Expy)? Those look like chrome nerf bars?
