I am looking for the weight of my truck if I were to put it on a scale.

I found this weight specs for the 09 FX4 screw 5.5’ box below:

Curb Weight: 5628 lbs.
Gross Weight: 7200 lbs.

I believe that this is the “Dry Curb Weight” meaning no fluids. Is that correct? So my question is, what is the weight with fluids? What does a 36 Gal gas take weigh? Radiator, oil, tranny fluid, etc?

Also, I am assuming the gross weight is the total of everything, including fluids, passengers, max cargo?

I think you have the gross weight correct. And a gallon equals about 8 pounds.

EDIT: A Google search revealed: In everyday usage, Gross Weight refers to the total weight of the goods + the container and packaging. On the other hand, Net weight refers to only the weight of the goods in question.

You do know you can work out your weight by looking at your payload sticker and gvwr

The curb weight does not include options that may be on your vehicle, fluids, etc. The gross is the max weight your vehicle should be if loaded with cargo, passengers, all fluids, etc.
The only way to get the "real" curb weight is to get it weighed.

The payload stick is unique to every f150 and options fitted. You minus that from your GVWR and thats your vehicle weight. They have to have that sticker by law and it has to be accurate.

Ok now who wants to put their truck on the scale and compare the number to the sticker?

Its already been done on other threads. The Payload sticker is different for every truck unless it's the exact same spec.

Hadn't seen that yet. When did this sticker start comming on the trucks? Around the time TPMS came into play?

I drove mine across our local elevators scale today. My 09 Screw with a 5.5 foot box weighs right at 6000 with me in it (160 pounds) with 1/4 tank of fuel. So figure in another 28 gallons of fuel at about 8 pounds a gallon is another 225 pounds. Take me out of the truck and with a full tank its gonna be about 6060 pounds.

I have a couple things in there, like tow rope, 4 tie downs. laptop. ect. nothing to add significant weight to the truck.
no bed cover( yet ).

Gasoline is closer to 6 pounds than 8.

TREAD act with payload stickers as equipped from the factory started for 2006 model year vehicles.

TPMS is required by US law for all 2008 model year vehicles.

FX4 Screw will probably be closer to 6000 pounds sitting in a driveway.
