New Rebates and Incentives?

Does anyone have any clue what the new incentives and rebates will be at the beginning of September? I was curious if there will be any greater incentives on '09's. Looking to buy one soon

Did you ask your local dealer? They may know a little ahead of time of the upcoming promotions, or willing to tell, especially if you tell them you are looking to buy.

Cardinal rule, no manufacturer released incentive information prior to the start of said incentive. Current Ford incentives end August 31, so new ones will be announced probably Sept 2nd.

The dealers don't know anything until it changes, so if they act like they do they are just blowing smoke. Incentives ussually get better as the year goes on but if they sell more than they thought with the previous offers or inventory is lower they could get worse.

Yeah, I didn't think anyone would know for sure. Just thought I'd ask. I can only think they could get better than they currently are, but you never know.

Yep it's a guessing game, I had to go to Houston to find a good deal, and even then I went to several dealers before I found one that I liked, that had good incentives, and had a staff I was comfortable with.

I'll be going to Houston as well. I've been working in Nacogdoches, but the small town dealers up here can't match Houston dealer pricing. I'm from the Houston area, so I plan on buying one weekend when I'm home.

If you are willing to go to Houston... consider coming to Dallas... more specifically McKinney... Bob Tomes Ford... ask for Butch. He'll hook you up with the best deal he can, no haggling... I've bought two vehicles from him in the past two years and couldn't be happier. Super great guy! If he doesn't have what you want, he can get it for you through dealer trade if it's available.

I'll PM you his #...

Heck, if you come up this way, I'll buy ya' a beer to celebrate your new truck!

Thanks, Mickeymeanie. You've been helping out a lot. I'll talk to him and see what he can do. The only difference is my home is actually in Houston. I go there every weekend to begin with. But, if he's able to beat any other offers I get, I would be willing to go up there. Thanks for everything.

No problem...

I grew up in the Houston area... but that was over 20 years ago... my folks are still there though.

One thing I've learned over the years is the car/truck manufacturer's aren't overly creative when it comes to rebates/incentives. By that I mean, if you can research what the deals were for Sept 2008 you'll probably find them to be virtually identical this year and probably next.

They are online (www.fordvehicles.com/incentives )...............looked at them twice today.

Stayed the same on 2009 SCrew - $3000

2009 SCAB - $3000
(they had some addtional incentive on XLT SCrew and SCAB last month....$5000 total)

At least this is the case for my Zip.

Good deal. I searched that site earlier, and I don't think it was updated.

It appears I can get $5,500 back now by financing through them and getting my college discount. Glad I waited. Had a salesman try to tell me Saturday that rebates would be lessened this month. He continued to try to push me to buy right then, so I eventually just left.
