After Market Brake Controller Installation

I have an 09 Lariat Screw that did not come with the integrated brake controller. I would like to put the prodigy that I had in my '03 in it. The problem is that they attached the pig tail to the back of that slot. The instructions indicate that I will have to basically disassemble the entire flow through console. Does anyone know a simpler way to accomplish this task?

Ultimately I would like to mount the after market where the factory one would have been. It fits perfectly in that slot, but I need to know how to get that piece of molding off. Preferably without disassembling the entire truck. Thanks for any insight you might lend.

I figured it out.

I removed the bottom piece of molding by the gas pedal and reached up to disconnect the pig tail from the cubby hole. I then drilled a hole in the back of the cubby to run my wires through. Wired it up, slid the controller into the cubby and called it good.

the flow through console is really easy to take out, you can have it out and back in, in under 30 mins, its like 6 bolts 3 screws and some push clips
