I have a 09 F150 Lariat 5.4L. (White)

I had skimmed a little cash form my last paycheck, that the wife doesnt know about.

I have about 1000 bucks, what aftermarket goodies should I get......?????

Maybe, cold air intake, Flows?? Powered sub for under the back seat??

What would you buy?

 

I'd buy my wife dinner. Once she found out I skimmed that cash I'd never hear the end of it.

 

2WD - I'd go for aftermarket exhaust, CAI, and Line-X bedliner.

4WD - I'd get a 2" AS leveling kit and larger tires to fit on your factory wheels once you skim another $1000 I'd get some nice aftermarket wheels. And so on... It's a vicious cycle!

But I agree that once the wife finds out you'll never hear the end of it. Good luck.

Thinking of just doing a cold air intake, exhaust then Ill see how much I have left.

Trying to hide only makes the pain harder. I would be upfront with the wife, tell your wife you saved $500, give her $100 to spend as she wants, then spend the rest as you like. Chances are she won't sum up the cost of your extra toys.

 

This is the secret to a happy marriage. Make sure she gets something out of it then spend the rest on the truck. This way you never have to hear "I wish you'd spend as much on me as you do on that truck!"

Here's something interesting: I think my wife is slowly becoming a "truck nut". After diner tonight we were talking and I showed her a few wheel options I was looking at and the next thing I know I'm having a truck accessories talk with the wife and she was motivated about it . Not sure what happened but it sure was interesting. Now the trick is to see how long this motivation will last.
