Stinky A/C

Does anyone elses A/C stink like vineger upon start up? It goes away after 30 seconds.

Can't say i have noticed any bad smells from the a/c

pk - no... nothing unusual about the A/C smell. Mine is normal every time.

Maybe some water... or a dead animal somewhere in the line?

Might be this..

Try mixing bleach and water (1:1, to get it diluted) and pour it down the cowl air, just at the base of the windshield. Use about 1-2 gallons. Start the truck with the a/c on and repeat the rinse using diluted bleach. Hint: use scented bleach for your sniffing pleasure; regular bleach scent isn't so nice.

That should kill some of the fungus. You may need to do this as you notice the stink returning. Living in humid areas makes the stink hard to avoid.
