Is it posible to add a tail gate step to an 09 f-150?

 

If you mean swapping the superduty tailgate with the step specifically, then no I don't believe you can.

 

The cheapest way would be to swap the tailgate with another of the model and color, if you could find one. Parts wise, it would probably be real expensive to buy from the dealer.

Not hardly, but there are some that got the tailgate step and don't really want or need it. It does make the tailgate a good bit heavier. If you are lucky enough to find someone like that, they might be willing to trade.
Doing it the other way is the reason I keep my tailgate locked.
