Talking Going to pick up the BLACK BEAST!!!!!

Well I finally gave in…Had to have one of these bad *** trucks. Local dealer could not find anything that I wanted within 500 miles…Too late to order a 09 and the rebates on the 10's are not good enough right now. So I took it upon myself to search dealer’s inventories, long and slow that it was but it finally paid off. Found the truck in Ohio, I am in Minnesota. Called the dealer up and worked out the price that I wanted and bought the plane ticket to go get it. Plan to leave Friday morning to go get it!!

For the drive back plan is to ride up along the east side of Lake Michigan, maybe stopping in Sault Ste. Marie. Then hugging the south side of Lake Superior for a bit till we change direction and head back for Minneapolis. Should be a really cool trip back, will be about 1,200 miles.

Did I say that I am beyond excited?!!!!!!!

Many pics to come!

Sounds like a beautiful truck!

Be sure to post pics when you can - I'm looking forward to how the black looks with the LUX package - the door handles/mirror caps.

Yours will be just the opposite of mine - same exact truck except in White.

Excellent adventure Enjoy, your new truck sounds awesome and it was only a couple of thousand less than my loaded Platinum...didn't realize the FX4's got up that high!! What a great 1st drive too...we immediatley left on a Las Vegas road trip in mine - will remember that trip forever, new truck, great nav/sounds and even air conditioned seats!! Too cool for school Post pics when you and - be SURE and get some with the truck on your trip and cool background Oh, the hardest part will be trying to mix up your speed a bit on the highway...try not and cruise at a solid 80mph for the entire trip - varying speeds/loads will help it break in better

FIVE Bananas for you

How about 2 more?

That's what I was just thinking about, varying the speed. Should not be too much of a problem though.
