Take a look at the ones Smokestone put on his truck. I've never seen those before until I saw that picture a few days back then I saw them on a truck later that day. They look great.

I saw those, and they do look nice. But this is more for the girlfriend that it is for me. And I know she prefers the full bar.

They really aren't a problem. I had full bars on my '06, but the wife actually likes these better. Besides the bar actually sits up under the truck. Much cleaner look.

Are you still in school? Class of '87 myself. WHOOP! I am trying to get my son there but, he went off and enlisted in the Army reserves. He has been travelling around the country and about to go to Germany. Having him go to A&M would have made me proud. Him serving is country should make all of us proud.

Oh no, I'm class of '03, been out a while, though I work for the University now, I never really left College Station. I know a few '87 guys, one was a Yell Leader. Thanks for the input, I'll have to run it by her.

Westins are common in Houston. I have them on my 2004 SCrew and had them on my 99 F150 SCab Flairside. They would be on my 2009, but it came with nerf bars from the factory.

The Westins have held up well for me.

These are my personal favorites as far as aftermarket goes. If I'd seen these before I bought my truck, I would've left the chrome factory ones off my order and installed these black ones on my black FX4. Really nice looking, same design as OEM chrome ones, just ABS instead of metal...

Bumping this to the top now that the aftermarket might have caught up.

Looking at these Westins and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts

Yep the N-fab are the way to go IMO. They are cheap from Summit too. Usually $400 anywhere else.

Just my opinion. . . .
If you are looking for the regular full nerf bar, Luverne makes a great stainless black powder coat bar! I had them added to my '09 SC and I love them! Paid $250 installed. . .

What are you 85 years old? Why would you want nerf bars? Save some money and the visual appearance of your truck with..

A walker!
