Cowl cover

Why did Ford seal the two rows and eighteen holes in the cowl cover on the driver side right by the wiper arm on the 09 F150? The rest of them are all open except these. It holds rain and water after washing. Don't understand can someone enlighten me?

Ford wanted to confuse some people. Sorry, couldn't resist the opportunity.

Get a CR Spotless Water Systems filter. My truck looks like the day I bought it. The other cars look better too.

LOL, nice Power Kid! I remember all those threads back in '04 about the same thing, hehehe!

Unrelated, but my truck has over 2K on the odo now and is getting MUCH better MPG than when first bought (14.4 at first, now between 15.5-16), pretty much all city, very occasional short highway trips. My "creakys" seem to have gone away as the truck broke in somehow, but I have a rattle I think coming from under or somewhere around passenger area/seat. Will mess with it when I have time, just very busy with work and stuff lately.

Also, my boss just picked one up too (Lariat SCrew for him)! Guess all the talk convinced him it was definately worth it, even if we both agree it's not all-new, but FMC sure did a heck of a job on this '09 refresh. Love every minute I'm in it.
