how much lift?

I have a 2009 ford f-150 fx4 super cab. its 4x4 and I was wondering if anybody knows how much lift I can put in my truck and still fit in my garage? My garage door is 7' high. If anybody has their truck lifted , maybe they could get me a quick measurement. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

Go to Ford Website and get the stock cab height and do some adding and subtracting.
http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f...ions/exterior/
4x4 Cab Height = 76.4" +/- Supercrew 6.5' Bed

And your garage is 84" +/-

So you have about 7.6" +/- to play with.

If you lift it, forget about putting it in the garage. I swear I'm gonna have an oversized garage with my next house.

I was asking the same question some time ago. Deeregeffe measured his truck and he has a six inch lift. I believe the highest point on his truck was around 82.5". BUT - with clearance issues that close to a seven foot door I would be hesitant to base a decision on someone else's setup on their rig.

Rancho has a new 4 inch lift for the 09s out. In my OPINION I think that lift would be pretty safe with a seven foot door. Dont know if the lift is showing up for sale anywhere yet but they show it with part numbers on their website.

Jusadog is right, believe it or not, my truck measures just under 7' with a 6" lift and 35's on it. While I have an 8' garage door, I did want to squeeze into the automatic car wash bay in the winter or fit into parking garages when necessary.

I wanted to do a lift but my antenna smacks the bottom of the garage door without even a leveling kit on it now. I'm actually scared to think what will happen when I go to a 285/70/17 tire from my current 255/70/17, might have to take my antenna off.

Oversized garage doors FTW. Mine would be super close with a 6" lift though
