Yes - I prefer a shorter wheelbase on vehicles. That is due to the cities I work in for parking - whether on the street or parking garages. I also prefer trucks like that since I hunt and fish alot. This configuration only is only 6" longer than a standard cab shortbed - both in wheelbase and overall length. It is a bit more agile than other configurations.

I started looking for an standard cab xlt 4x4 but by the time I would order that model with options available on an xlt - I wasn't that far off of what I could order an fx4 so I was able to get more truck for my money in that aspect. Like leather, sony stereo, 3.73 rear, and the diff interior.

It is a personal choice and I know many people dont like trucks like that but I do. Will like it even more when I put the level kit, tires, and new rims on hopefully next week.

I think I have seen one on this forum in the 2009s. I could not find one on any lot and the dealer could not find any close to Socal. This config is not for everyone but it is the one for me!

What did you decide on for wheels, tires, and level?

Im going with either the AS or BDS 2.5 level and will put in an AAL in the rear. Having a little trouble finding info on an AAL but just havent had time to make the phone calls. I travel place to place and long distances with alot of machinist tools and my rollaway toolbox. I dont want my truck to squat when I have to drive 1600 miles. Everybody will bright light me!

Will be going with 35 x 12.50 x 18 toyos MT and probably the chrome xd monsters. I like the way they look on wsxcpo's old truck. I also like the look of the black wheels but the chrome is what really catches my eye. Not many choices when trying to keep the proper backspace. XD series wheels or moto metal seem to have the most choices available in the backspace and I can get a good deal on the monsters.
