Rearend differential Cover is already rusty

My rearend cover on my 09 has extensive rust showing and was wondering if anyone tried the PML or Mag Hytec covers and experienced any clearance issues?

Actually people have have clearance issues with a shield for the spare tire carrier on the bigger mag-hytec covers. You may want to just go to ford and get it warrantied for free. Pics?

Seems the '09s like to rust easily (on the underside). But it seems much more of a concern in the northern states than in the south. Maybe because of the road salt in the winter?

Pretty common on Fords (prolly the other domestics as well). All of my new Fords (trucks and Mustangs) have had this issue...Ford claims its normal and won't hurt anything...still seems they could do a better job of priming/painting the rear diff cover/housing.
