I have a 2009 F-150 STX with the tow mirrors, look to have a slot for turn signals but dont have them.
Want to know if anyone has seen a klit you could buy to put turn signals in this type of mirror and if anyone has looked behind these covers to see if the wiring is there.
Looking to add to my truck and wont to see if i could do myself if i can find them.

Nope there is no kit. If you knew what you were doing you might be able to hack something together but I'm not sure. If you have the LED turn signal indicators in your mirrors (too lazy to look up if the STX comes with them) then the wiring would be there AFAIK.

 

Was thinking if the wires are there i could find someone who sales replacement signal light and just install. But I'm worried that you have to buy the whole mirror to get them.

 

Are you talking about the front side of the mirror or the side with the mirror? The trailer tow mirrors on my Platinum have signal lights in them.

 

I might have read too fast, yes you could probably get the turn signals that are on the rear side of the mirror, AKA the side with the mirror. I thought you were talking about replacing the reflectors on the front with turn signals.

 

I have the trailer tow mirrors without turn signals in them want to add if i can. Have the slots for them what i need to know is if anyone can 1 tell me if the wires should be there and 2 where to get the signals.

I'm looking for a definitive answer to this as well. I have a 2009 SCREW and my mirrors have just the black inserts. Can I buy a turn signal and just "plug it in" or will I have to splice it it? Does a turn signal wire run to all the mirrors?

 

NO singals in mirrors from factory no wire either its a different wire harness I asked tech at ford this is what he told me.........
