Someone posted this on another forum is this true?

"The SCab is 231.7" or 19.3' without the rear bumper. With the rear bumper added you are looking at about "19.8'" to 20'. Even with the SCab you would need to be able to park at a slight angle would be my thoughts."

you're still trying to figure this out dude?

Here's your final answer: goto the dealer and ask for a test drive and ask if you can take it to your house to make sure it fits in your garage. If you are serious about buying from them, then they should be more than happy to accomodate your request!

The dealership I am going through is like 2 hours away from me. Unless they are down for a road trip I doubt that'll happen lol.

And yes I know there are dealerships closer but I have connections at this one.

Ask for a test drive from a local dealer... no need to actually buy from them... people shop various dealers every day.

Scab sucks for reverse facing child seats. You can wedge one between the front seatbacks, but then forward facing sucks in the outboard seats. And one of you will probably ride next to BB occasionally, for which the back seat sucks for adults. I had a 99 Scab and got my 03 Screw prior to having kids. So glad I did. If you plan on keeping this thing a while as your kids grow up, the Screw is the family truck.

That is a tiny garage. Parking diagonally will probably not help as the truck is longer until reaches a certain angle. Since your garage is square, it won't help. If your wife wants to park in the garage, you won't be. 2 cars in that garage is tight. 1 truck that takes up half the space, plus typical house/yard care stuff, plus kid stuff will barely fit.

Get the Screw and park outside.

Slim - just a thought, have your dealer let you take a test drive with both trucks to see how they fit in your garage?

Hmm... I see what you mean. The main problem is I won't be able to park my car outside its a condo complex and the spots are small so if we stick out they will give us warnings. We don't have any kids yet its just us thinking of the future and being prepared. I guess I could always buy the screw when we get a bigger house plus that would be a good excuse to get the full screw 6.5ft bed at a later time.

I'm sorry but, after reading your ongoing garage saga over multiple threads this ad popped into my head and I had to share...

Last question on the sizes lol...

Do any of you guys know if the Tundra backseat on their extra cab is same size as our SuperCab?

Reason I am asking is because my brother-in-law has a 2008 Tundra and he fits a babyseat no problems back there.

Thanks guys!

Just don't come back and say you aren't actually married yet or you haven't actually bought the condo yet...

...or somebody is going to kill you.

Get a regular cab 6.5' bed truck and trade it in when you upgrade houses and trucks.
