Stock Tire on FX4

What tire is Ford putting on the 18" rim from the factory? I've seen Goodyear on the sidewall but, I'm not sure which Goodyear that it is...

Thanks, guys.

Mine has Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires.

Thanks, JRV. I was hoping it was the ATS. The SRA doesn't look quite as beefy...

It depends. If you get the upgraded tires that are listed as LT tires, it will be the AT/S. I have the 17" and the tires I have are the Wrangler AT Extreme, which are extactly the same final diameter as the 18". 275/65R18 compared to 275/70R17.

Order guide lists them as: LT275/65R18C OWL A/T (4), 4x4 – (Goodyear)

Note, on Goodyear's site, the SR/A only lists a P series in that size.

Okay... I'm corn-fused...

So, the Goodyear ATS *could* come on a FX4 for 2009? I'm not as big of a fan of the SRA...

The reason that I ask is because I'm on to a very good deal on some 2009 take-offs from a 2009 FX4...

Thanks for the info, fellas!

Yes, you *could* get an FX4 with the AT/S instead of the SR-A - they show as optional in the specs. I checked mine and they are the 275/65R18 SR-A's, listed as "P275/65R18 OWL ALL-TERRAIN."

Sorry for all the dumb questions...

So, to recap, the AT/S could potentially be on the truck in a 18" version if it was added as an option. Otherwise, it's likely the 18" SR-A.

Correct? Again, sorry for the doofy questions. Ask the other staff guys; I'm full of doofy questions.

Why not ask the seller what tires they are?

Correct, just make sure the tire listed states LT275/65R18. It will be a LR C tire.

Also, if the tire is listed as a P275/65R18, it could also be a BF Goodrich Rugged Trail.

Novel idea.

I've already asked... I'm impatient and thought that, maybe -- just maybe -- by asking you guys some questions that I could have a bit of knowledge PRIOR to him answering. You know... just in case I get some odd ball answer. I'm driving 2.5 hours, one way, to go get these so, I want to have my quackers in a row.

Thanks for the helpful answers from the others!
