Lift while keeping stock tires

Just joined the site! Recently I bought an 09 FX4 with 275/65R18's. Not looking to upgrade tires yet and if and when I do, I'll probably only get a size bigger. What do you all think the maximum lift I can get without the truck looking stupid.

I would like to keep the rear a little higher than the front, but also not spend a lot of cash. I'm thinking maybe a 2" level kit in front, but not sure about the rear. What size blocks should I get to swap out the stock ones? Also, will I need to get an alignment?

Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

I have an 09 Platinum 4x4 and did the readylift 2" up front with stock rims and tires. It now has a 1/2 rake. Visually it is dead level and looks good. Does not look lifted, but looks a little more rugged. If you want to keep the tail a little high you can get a +1" block replacement ( not an add a block) for the back for about $50 that will give it a 1.5" rake.

Yes you will need an alignment.

Well,

Here is mine with the stock tires and a 6" lift on it while I waited for the tires to come in. It didn't look nearly as bad as I thought it might.

$50? Where? All the ones I have seen are like $130.

You could go with a 2.5” front leveling kit and put in a 1” AAL in the rear to keep that rake look.

Thanks fellas. I think I'm going to go with an Auto Spring 2" in front and a Ready Lift 3" block in the rear. Should give me the rake look I'm going for and not make my stock tires look stupid until I get some bigger meats.

Hopefully that won't put too much stress on my suspension. Will the rear stock shocks work with a larger replacement block in the back???

I put a 2.5" autospring kit on the front of mine and a 1" autospring kit on the rear (replaces the stock blocks with 3" blocks) and on a level surface, the rear sits 1/2" or so higher than the front.....just how I wanted it.
