Leveling help

Guys

I need some info on what's available to get my truck leveled. Is there a decent leveling kit out there?

I'm rolling an 09 F150 Platinum. It's a sexy truck, but only on the inside. I'd like a little attitude on the outside.

personally if i did it again i would go for the 2". There are a ton of different ones out there, but the most popular seem to be the AutoSpring, ready lift... but the ready lift is easily 3 times the price as the AutoSpring and same basic design. Only thing i know that is different is the amount of testing ready lift has done.

My 2.5" on my 09 is pretty level, but I think the 2" is a little better fit and look. IMO. I would post a pic, but its not an accurate photo with the slope of my driveway, plus i still had the stock tires in the bed. I have pics in my profile if you want to look though.

I did the Ready Lift 2" kit and it is perfect. There is now a 1/2" rake. I really like the look. the 1/2" rake is not noticeable at all.

If you wanted to go with the maximum height without causing you problems, you could go with a 2 1/2” front leveling kit and add a leaf in the rear to keep that 1/2” rake look but still keeping your payload capacity and if you tow anything the rear won’t look like it is lower than the front. That is the route I am going but with the BDS suspension kit.

that's pics of my 09 XLT with 2" Autosprings kit. $90 bucks on ebay. Took 1-1/2 hours to install myself. I'd go with that.

Impressive. Did you have to force the strut assembly back in? Or remove the hub or something? I did a 2.5" AS and it was tough getting the strut/block back in. Took me a little while to figure it out. Just wondering if the 2" slid right in?

I bought a 2.5" Hell Bent Steel leveling kit. After installation the top of the bed rail was almost perfectly level with a 4' level on it; however, the truck looked to be nose high. It appears (to me) the front fenders are cut deeper than the rear. I removed the lift...I do not intend on running larger tires or aftermarket wheels...I only wnated the truck to have a more level stance.

Just my 2 cents...hope it helps.

good to hear..I ordered the same 'kit' on Wednesday. Will put it on next weekend.

What about towing? Do you see a difference? I have a boat that is approx 400 pounds tongue capacity. If it 'reverse rakes' (or whatever its called) too bad I might have to get some Firestone bags. Your thoughts?

Haven't towed yet, but it may nose up when you drop some weight on the hitch. Readlift has a 1" lift (block replacement) you can get for the rear...but that takes you back to a 1.5 rake when unloaded.

Ouch. Those are triple the price of an autospring lift and an inferior design. I would return it. Even if you have to pay for shipping you will still be over a hundred bucks ahead.

Just out of interest, how is the design inferior?

I bought a 2" leveling kit for my 09 f150 and they were top quality billet aluminum. The truck sat a little high in the front so i threw in some rear lift shackles and now it sits perfect. TOTALLY NOTICABLE!!!!!!

let me find my pics

THOSE are 33" tires on 20s

It appears, from their pictures, to not be an offset design. Offsetting the three mounting bolts prevents the coil from contacting the upper control arm. Most spacers are offset.

Lightningquick where did you get your lift shackles and how much? Do they affect the ride? I may have to go that route instead of blocks or an AAL.
