california emissions system?

I am in MN and was looking a dealer inventory in Washington state and surrounding area's and I noticed all the widow stickers had California emissions system on them.

I know Cail. has stricter EPA laws and all that but what does it really change on the truck?

Thanks

Either your state or a state that borders upon your state requires it. Federal law changed a couple of years ago, so that if a state borders on a state that requires the stiffer emissions, then that state also must use the California emissions.

I looked at one on a lot in Iowa that had the california emissions package. Basically what I got out of it was a bunch of added sensors to make it pass their emissions. If your not in a state that needs them I would save the money and get one without the extra emissions package. I think it was around 400-500 dollars more.

There is no difference in price. That is figured into all vehicles.
