18" vs 20" overall tire diameter the same?

Just as the title says are they the same on the fx4/lariat with stock tires?

Thanks

It depends on the tire size. If you look at the window sticker of the trucks, or when you do the "build on-line" you will see the tire sizes.

Then you can use this tool to see the overall diameter -

Discount Tire Size Calculator

The trucks I looked at around here had either:

275/65-18 diam 32.07"
275/55-20 diam 31.91"

All the wheel/tire combo options on the FX4 are roughly the same OD.

Yeah, my dad is looking at Fx4's and he would like 18"s for the fact you have more side wall but most have the 20's on them.....Both look good IMO.

The reason I asked the diameter is because a dealer would be willing to swap the 20's for 18's and give him half the price back of what the 20's list for on the sticker which is 595.00. But they said they need to calibrate the speedo then..So I wanted to check on the overall tire diameter to see how much of a difference there is really is......I know truck's that come with 20's stock has a 18" tire for the spare....that's why I frigured they were very close if not the same.

In fact, I have the 20s on my truck, but the spare tire is an 18 (presumably to save them money) so they must be close enough in size to swap out.
