Actually found the answer here:

Why did you need to replace your camera emblem? Was it broken?

Somehow it got really scratched up this winter. The blue is scratched down to the chromed finish. I don't know exactly what happened. So its just purely cosmetic. The camera works fine.

Every little bit of related info added to this thread I'm sure will help somebody, thanks!

Dont have any info for those without the navigation and just the rear view mirror monitor by chance do you?

I've been able to put this together for this pin-outs and wire colors at the rear view mirror connector...

sorry I don't have it for the mirror. I got the diagrams from justanswer.com like the other guy did. Cost me but I wanted to see if I could figure out for sure if the cam harness was there or not on my truck. I think I have confirmed that it is not! here is the link to the guy who helped me

If you want to pay a couple bucks he should be able to dig it up for you!

I've gotten information from there before. Great resource when you run out of options. Its a minimal cost when the wrong wire could set you back big $$$.

v_tach, since you did the XM install....is there switched power to tap into in the map light panel? or is it constant?

Thanks!

jac4x4, you paid for that diagram? It looks like it's right out of the Ford service/electrical manual. Your local dealer should be able to help you out with that at no charge. I went to my dealer way back in 2004 when I was trying to figure out the audiophile sub wiring, and they let me print out some copies of the pages dealing with audiophile sub.

so for guys like me that didnt get the factory rear camera but have the nav screen, is all the wiring already installed to the nav besides the actual camera....in other words, if i buy the oem camera/blue oval do i just have to plug it in at the rear of the truck or do i have to get some type of wiring harness from the nav to the rear.....

I am 95% sure the wiring harness is not there and you would have to get ford to reprogram the nav to get it to work. I have checked into this a few different ways and it looks to me like the only way is to wait for the sync lock pick or have a second display installed

Yes, there is a switched 12v source there. I don't remember the wire color off-hand but there definitely is one.

Its a solid green wire. There is an unused connector seated between my two map lights. I assume its for the Home Link option which I don't have.

I've ordered a few Weather-Pack 4-pin and 5-pin connectors. I'm using shielded cable for the video so I'll use the shield wire (pin 2) on the camera's harness thus I'll need a 5-pin connector. Shielded cable isn't necessary but I already have a 1,000' roll.

Weather-Pack 5-pin

Weather-Pack 4-pin

Can order them from RJM Injection technologies.

McMaster-Carr has 1, 2, 3, and 4-pin flat versions.
v_tach. I am in the process of installing a 09 OEM camera and emblem on my 97 F250. Can you post me a diagram of the wiring and where to hook them up? I am using a Pioneer AVIC F-90BT for a head unit.
Thanks for the help.
