half ton shootout

i thought this was pretty good. figured i would share, seems like they werent for the f150 at first but it still came out in first place.

This was such a better, more thorough comparison than the Edmunds test which was essentially nothing more than a drag race. I like how in this test they actually took into consideration how well the trucks could control the loads they were hauling rather than just evaluating acceleration.

its funny to me how most all of the companys ditch ford one way or another when they are testing them. I was looking at motor trend today and they said the Silverado came out first then it was the f150. They kept saying how the 5.4 was under powered but yet they were testing the f150 against a silverado with a 6.2 liter 380 horsepower engine.

They test them like that because almost all the other full size trucks have engines that make that kind of HP, except the F150. The 5.4 is the most powerful engine so they have no choice but to put it up against the higher HP engines available from the others.
