New Truck is ready for pick-up

Finally, today is the day! I'm so excited, I don't think I will make it all day at work.

I remember that day and it was a long one.
I ordered and had waited nearly two months.
Got the call in the morning and had to work all day with it sitting in front of the dealership.

When I finally got there my salesman said, "You know, I could have sold this truck three times today."

He was making a compliment and I knew that. They had thirty new F-150s on the lot and mine had drawn attention during the day. There is no way a dealership would sell an ordered truck out from under a customer.

Can you imagine how that conversation would have went?
"I called you this morning about the truck you ordered two months ago but, you didn't show up so I sold it."

(Yeah, I would have shot him, several times)

This one came to me so much better than my wifes 05 Mustang GT. It took forever. 6 hours to go!

When did you order it? How long did it take?

Can you tell I am waiting for mine?

ricbeau, I was lucky. I was getting ready to order when another saleman says the truck you are wanting is back in prep. It seems another guy tried to buy the truck and financing did not go through. Bingo, there was my truck.

That is exactly what I was saying...as in a "could imagine" type case...

Or even...

"yea...about your truck...we had to do a dealer trade with a dealer across the country and your truck has been reloaded on the semi and is about 5 hours out. Ford says your replacement will be made in about another 4 months........HEY GET THAT GUN OUT OF MY FACE!!!! "
