Had all 4 Wheels rebalanced today and it's a little better. Still not to my satisfaction. My `06 Lariat had also OEM 20" and was purrrfect at any speed.
I had 20' Nokian Hakkappalita's on for winter, it still had a little shake. Not as bad. It seems worse with the Scorpions. And Oh yes, no water...

Question

No vibrations at all. About the tire pressure issues, doesn't the PLAT have TPS monitoring? Haven't really thought about it until now, but I thought it did. Wouldn't that let you know if your tires were over or under inflated?

Same thing here. My passenger seat vibrates on the freeway but the truck rides very smooth.

TSB 08-11-1
INTERMITTENT VEHICLE VIBRATION - PARKING BRAKE DISENGAGEMENT CONCERNS

Publication Date: May 14, 2008

FORD: 2004-2008 F-150, F-150
LINCOLN: 2006-2008 Mark LT

ISSUE:
Some 2004-2008 F-150 (excludes Heritage) and 2006-2008 Mark LT vehicles may exhibit an intermittent vibration or shudder from the rear of the vehicle typically at speeds 45 MPH (72 Km/h) and higher. This may be caused by the parking brake remaining partially engaged. Affected vehicles were produced at: Dearborn Truck Plant before 2/13/2008, Kansas City Assembly Plant before 2/18/2008 and all 2004-2007 vehicles produced at Norfolk Assembly Plant.

ACTION:
Inspect the parking brake assembly for evidence of remaining partially engaged and repair using the following service procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Raise the vehicle and remove the right hand (RH) and left hand (LH) rear brake rotors. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Sections 206-00 for 2004 and 206-04 for 2005-2008.
Inspect the parking brake shoes and parking brake drum for signs of engagement while driving (excessive discoloring and wear). If the parking brake system does not indicate signs of trouble, this is not the cause of the vibration. Do not continue with this TSB. Refer to the appropriate WSM, Section 100-04 for NVH diagnosis.

2004-2005 Model Year Vehicles

Replace both the RH and LH parking brake actuator levers and replace the parking brake cable assembly on the affected side of the vehicle only. Refer to WSM, Section 206-00 for 2004, Section 206-05 for 2005. Refer to parts list to determine the correct cable assembly.
Correctly position the parking brake cable equalizer to ensure the LH and RH parking brake cables do not twist or bind during operation.

Inspect the double cable clamp for debris and/or damage. Replace as required.
Use a shop towel to clean the sheathing on both parking brake cables where the double cable clamp will be positioned.

Spray an even coat of Motorcraft® Silicone Spray Lubricant or equivalent, on the sheathing of both parking brake cables where the double cable clamp will be positioned.
NOTE: CORRECT PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTMENT DIMENSION IS 0.027" (0.71 mm).

2006-2008 Model Year Vehicles

Replace the parking brake cable assembly on the affected side of the vehicle only. Refer to WSM, section 206-05.
Spray an even coat of silicone spray, Motorcraft® Silicone Spray Lubricant or equivalent, on the sheathing of both parking brake cables where the double cable clamp will be positioned.
NOTE: CORRECT PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTMENT DIMENSION IS 0.027" (0.71 mm).

I am a happy camper now. Yesterday had my wheels and tires "matched up", and Hunter "Road Force" balanced, and it's now purrrfection at all speeds right to the top.
WOOOHOOO!!!

I haven't had that issue, mine rides very smooth with minimal vibration over speed bumps and potholes. I had the same vibration situation in my 05' F150 but I chalked it up as a larger tire compromise as I was running two sizes larger. Good luck with the issue.

Is it normal to have a little bit of rear end bounce when going over rough roads and potholes? It seems like the back bounces more than the front. You guys that are saying its smooth, how smooth are you talking? This is my first truck and have only really driven cars and SUVs.

I have been very impressed with how smooth the ride has been. It's about as car like as it could ever get with out being too soft. The 09 Ram i had for the weekend was also car like but it was a little too soft and wernt as compossed on the corners like my 09 F150 was. The F150 seems to have a combo of Firmness and and Softness. Never thought a vehicle with rear leafs could handle and ride so well.

I had these issues with my last two F150s... an 05 and an 08. I got the best results when it was road forced balanced after driving it for about 20 miles. There was actually a TSB from Ford that said they HAD to drive the F150s 20 miles before performing a road force balance... to remove flat spots from the tires. I sincerely hope that the vibration issues were fixed in these trucks, but if you have them, hopefully trying this will help. Drive about 70 MPH for 20 miles or so and then take it to a shop with a Hunter road force balance/matching machine immediately. That got me really close with my last truck, but by that time the dealerships had b@ss turd eyes'd my truck's front end so bad it didn't even drive straight.

I did this and it really did help. However, this is still one bouncy truck compared to all others I have had. When I hit any time of road imperfection and feel vibrations, I can look in the mirror and see the back of the bed jumping. Weight in the bed calms it down alot.
