09 F150 Platinum
Greetings everyone,
Just picked up the 09 F150 Platinum over the weekend.
I must admit, that I was very surprized by the number of bells and whistles, attention to detail, and driver convenience features that were added to all of the F150 lines.
I have been driving everything but Ford ever since I got my license, as the options, features, ride quality and especially reliability of the car was seemingly inferior to the foreign cars (no flames please).
When I got to test drive the truck on Saturday, I was just amazed by how quiet the ride was, and how comfortable. The options, such as Sync, Navi, and other unique features exclusive to the F150 won my heart, as I looked into the Tundra and the Titan (I've been a Nissan Fan as long as I remember).
I was humbled by how the American craftmanship still lives and is now even better than the cars and trucks in the same class. Trucks, especially, was and is still a dominant market for the American brands, where the durability, performance and MPG (especially the MPG!!!) is second to none.
Kudos to Ford for doing such a great job upgrading the 09 models, and I sincerely wish that people would consider American cars as their first choice before all other brands (I have driven Toyota, Nissan, Infiniti, BMW, M-Benz and never even considered an American brand).

Welcome to the forum dude. A lot of people dont even consider the Fords until they get in one and drive one, then they realise they are by far the best truck on the market.
The platinum sure is one fine truck.

Welcome, I too was a stickly import guy owning 3 Nissan and 2 Toyota trucks. Now I have a '09 F150, and it is by far the nicest vehicle I've owned thus far.
