Platinum Price

Hello all, I am new to the forum. I am looking for some guidance on buying new F-150. I am getting ready to buy a new Platinum. What is a good price? MSRP is 48K.

There's a few other threads asking the same thing. As you scroll thru the forum pages, you'll find different approaches but it seems the consensus for a good price is 20% off msrp and that would include the incentives. Some have obtained better pricing but they worked harder to get the better pricing.

There's a bunch of resources on the net for you to calculate 'invoice' cost and to find out the average sales price others in your area have paid for the same vehicle.

Post pics when you buy the truck.

Yeah -20% of MSRP is a good price and at the moment seems a normal amount of discount. If you get that or more then you have done well.

I'm seeing between 18% - 20%...haven't really seen much better than that. A fully loaded Platinum at $49K - you hould be able to get it for $39,500 - $40,000 (before tax, license and fees).

Nice trucks by the way - I'm really enjoying mine!!

Well, we are at 38K for the Platinum. They are also offering me 14,200 for my 2004 FX4.

i just dont see how you guys do it...

the dealers down here in Texas just wont go that far, i was "looking" at a 09 FX4 Screw, stickered at 41K, the lowest they would go was 37K. I would love a platinum, but 48K is outta my price range. If i could get a platinum for 38, 39K for what you guys are saying i would DEF go for it. Maybe they just see a young guy and are gonna try to get over on him. I dont know but congrats too all who are able to get there plats for 10K off....wish i could

Now that does not look good. It looks like Texas has 6.25% sales tax, but you only pay that one the delta of new purchase price minus trade in price the dealer gives you. $48k MSRP, sells for $44k. Minus $14.8k trade in. Times 1.0625 =29.2k, minus rebates = $25k? What are the rebates now? $2k for spray in bedliner? Even 1k$? Tell them you'll buy it as $25k OTD with the trade and get the $400 bedliner done on your own.
